Last week’s medical facts column reviews Nebraska cancer stats for 1932. Of 1424 deaths, males 682 and females 742. digestive tract cancers accounted for 60.5 percent, mouth/pharynx 3.3 percent, female reproductive organs about 38 percent of female cases, and male reproductive/urinary cancers about 7.2 percent overall.

Livestock Prices at South Omaha and Union Stock Yards Report
Receipts of cattle at Omaha on Monday totaled 16,500 head. Desirable fed steers and yearlings were in good demand at steady to easier levels while cows and heifers sold slowly and unevenly lower. Stock cattle and feeding steers sold brisk with prices strong to 15.25 cents higher. Cornfed steers ranged from 8.00 to 13.00 dollars, with yearlings at 9.15 and up. Fat lambs quoted at 7.00 to 7.50 dollars. feeders 7.00 to 7.25. Aged sheep steady.
