Sessions begin Saturday at 3 30 PM including a business meeting and officer elections. Midweek prayer and praise Tuesday evening. Nebraska Baptist State Convention meets at Fairbury October 11.

Miss Velma Maxing Lott daughter of Mr and Mrs Ernest Lott of Shelby Nebraska married Martin Franz Jaenike son of Mr and Mrs Edmund Jaenike near Rising City Nebraska in a September 14 ceremony at the Polk Nebraska Methodist church conducted by Rev E Pongelly. Attendants included Max Lott and Lida Jaenike. The couple planned a short wedding trip and will reside southwest of Rising City.

The Lindahl family reunion was held at Wahoo on Sunday with a large gathering. Attendees included relatives from Oakland Omaha Polk and nearby areas such as Mrs Charles Lindahl Mrs I M Benson Mabel Samuelson and Augusta Person. Also present were Mr and Mrs Robert Lindahl and family of Clark Mr and Mrs Hugo Persson and family Augusta Person and Mr and Mrs Ivan Bengston of Stromsburg.
A cooking school sponsored by the newspaper opens this afternoon at 2:00 PM in the Viking Theatre. The three afternoon show presents Stan in My Kitchen with Hollywood ties and a cast of rising young actors and actresses.
Doors open at 1330 p m and sessions begin at 2 pm each day with one session daily for Thursday Friday and Saturday. Ladies in town are urged to attend this cooking school featuring model kitchen demonstrations free recipe sheets gifts and friendly informal atmosphere.
The Polk County 4 H crops judging team from Elm er Tooker’s club in the valley placed third among 16 teams at the State Fair last week. Members Glen Hennings Raymond Starascilk and Robert Tooker were two hundred points behind the winning team which earned a chance to go to Chicago for an international contest.
