Dredge Finds Human Bones Linked to 1942 Disappearance
County police probe a set of human bone fragments dredged from the North Loup River near Hill Sand and Gravel in Ord. Officials seek a possible link to the 1942 disappearance of Earl Poland, whose body was never found. Bones were shipped to Lincoln for examination for dental comparison with Poland’s records.
