Polk County Budget Adopted and Resignations Approved
The Polk County Board of Commissioners approved Dale Frizzell’s resignation as County Assessor effective August 8 1953 and appointed Roy Horst to fill the vacancy. They also approved bond for William Norton as substitute County Judge and released an old age assistance lien for Charles and Nellie Anderson. The August 6 1953 meeting adopted the 1953 54 county budget and set expenditures and tax levies across multiple funds.
