Lincoln A E Anderson state and federal crop statistician reports Nebraska cash farm income rose 32 percent in the first seven months of 1936 from 1935 despite drought. Crop income tripled from winter wheat and livestock income rose 32 percent, with total cash income including AAA benefits reaching 153 168 000, up 38 percent. Works progress reservoirs approved for Washington county

WPA administration in Omaha announced approval of six reservoir sites under a $178,000 water conservation program in Washington county. Work on the first dam starts immediately with a ten man force and six teams. About 107 farmers filed applications for reservoirs and WPA expects roughly 30 more sites to be approved.

The state superintendent reports 20 deaths in the week ending September 12, bringing total accident fatalities since March to 463. Motor vehicle crashes caused 12 of the Sept. 12 week deaths and 175 over the full period, while seven months saw 56 home accident deaths.
