Former Polk Resident Annie Fisher Dies in Colorado
Annie Porter Fisher, 75, formerly of Polk Nebraska, died September 25 1948 in Palisade Colorado while visiting her son Martin and family. She was born May 28 1873 in Lawrenceburg Indiana and married Thomas S Fisher December 25 1893. She leaves three children eight grandchildren eleven great grandchildren and many relatives.

Tractor accident kills Polk county farmer Arthur Eberly
Arthur Eberly a young Polk county farmer was killed instantly Monday when his tractor with a scoop toppled on a slope pinning him beneath it. The mishap occurred west of Stromsburg near the Blue River with no witnesses. He leaves a widow.

Death of Mrs. Hulda Sterner at Bancroft Nebraska
Mrs Hulda Sterner widow of Charles Sterner died after years of ill health at 79 in Bancroft Nebraska. She was born September 7 1869 near Rogers Nebraska and married Charles Sterner June 26 1889 in Plattsmouth. She lived in Schuyler and Bradshaw areas with active Presbyterian church work and leaves five children eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren, with three sisters surviving. Funeral services were Sept 25 at Harmony Evangelical AB Church and burial at Arborville cemetery.
