Palmer Tigers beat the Polk Cubs 12 6 as Tom Weller scored twice and Monte Hudson tied it 6 6 at halftime. Byron Miller led Polk with 16 tackles. Next Friday Polk hosts Clarks and coach Owens aims to improve.

Polk High Volleyball Beats Stromsburg In Twin Varsity Wins

Polk Varsity defeated Stromsburg 15-9 15-12 with strong team play and solid serving led by Jane Kealiher who had 18 serving points. Patti Bender Brenda Bankson and Abbi Harrington contributed on the floor. Juniors fell to Stromsburg 15-11 15-3 while Frosh lost 15-10 13-15 15-0 with Pam Green and Deb Bankson leading Polk scorers.
