Twenty Seven Years Ago December 2 1920 Local Family Moves

Mrs A S Goeenther visits from Grand Island to see her mother. A young dentist arrives at Dr C R Peters home. Mr and Mrs Will Wright welcome a new grandchild. The Hargis and Myers families exchange visits and John Fulton Hargis, Ted Larson, D N Mills and John Myers attend a blue rock shoot at Hampton where Ed claims 54 of 55 birds. Lloyd Cohagan breaks his left arm in a runaway. Fred Johnson goes to California for the winter. J L Stouffer and family attend a Thanksgiving reunion at the Jensen home in Beaver Crossing.

Dig. clean and store all tender bulbs and roots in a cool dry place in the fall. Forms of galdiolus and roots of dahlias should not be left too long because a severe freeze may ruin them. Bruising plants allows fungi to enter causing rot.

Birthday tribute and Odd Fellows meeting headlined in Osceola

Ten years ago on December 2 1937 Osceola hosts reflected birthday party for Nels Wittgren with friends and neighbors. More than 150 Odd Fellows from across the region attend the Omder banquet in Lodge Hall served by Rebekahs. Local notes include Miss Janice Sundberg undergoing tonsil removal at Central City and visits by Henry Horstman and Arthur Rowe households in Fullerton. Mrs Eckerson plans to spend winter in Lincoln with relatives after visiting daughter Mrs Lester Stark.
