Osceola Woman Mourns as Army Pilot Dies in Mountain Crash
First Lieutenant Geerdef Sundberg, husband of Osceola girl Alice Schott, died in a B 29 crash on Mount Spokane during a blinding snow storm last Friday. Five crew members died, two tail-section survivors were injured, and three deputies suffered facial burns during the investigation. Funeral services are set for St. Vincent's Church in Osceola.
