Deer Rifle Season Sets Nebraska State Harvest Record
Nebraska deer hunters set a state record with 8795 deer reported from a nine day rifle season ending November 11. Game Commission chief Lloyd Vance said reports are incomplete and final totals may rise. On November 11 two antlered does were checked at Fullerton, both with 4 to 5 inch antlers, taken in Nance County.

PTA Hear Bob Manley on Nebraska History
The PTA met at the high school auditorium November 14 to hear Bob Manley from the University of Nebraska. He shared stories and pictures of Nebraska and sang songs. Classrooms were open for inspection before and after the program, and 4th and 5th grade mothers served coffee and cookies at the end. The next PTA will be in January.
