The Polk high school music department presents an informal concert of light music and fun on Monday evening, November 23, at 8 p m in the high school gym. Admission is open to all and attendance is encouraged.

90th Birthday Observed For Mrs Lindburg In Marinette

Mr and Mrs Art Nelson of Marquette honor Mrs Cora Lindburg on her 90th birthday at the Baptist church Sunday November 15. A musical program featured a mixed quartet and numerous solo and trio performances with local residents. Eighty guests were served coffee ice cream and cake.

Christmas cards aid veterans project at auxiliary meeting

The American Legion Auxiliary met November 9 in the Legion hall with Velma Stephens presiding. They discussed collecting Christmas cards for veterans hospitals, reported on events for children, and planned the November 23 meeting after school. Members voted to donate $1 to the treasury and bring 50 cent gifts for a Christmas grab bag at the December meeting.

Polk High football lettermen honor season stars

Polk high announces 1964 football lettermen after an 8-1 season with four scoreless games and wins over four class C teams. Seniors include Sherman Wilshusen and Dennis Widga. juniors Lynn Sundberg and Allan Neuhaus. sophomores Wayne Heiden and Dennis Stevens. Brockevelt led rushing, Brae and Sundberg top tacklers, with Mundt and Sealey among leading scorers. defense held opponents to 59 points while Polk totaled 171.

Farmers Dozen Club Celebrates 25th Anniversary

The Farmers Dozen card club met at the home of Mr and Mrs Leo Litty on Sunday November 15 for a carry-in supper and to honor their 25th wedding anniversary. Present were Mr and Mrs Henry Blase Mr and Mrs Wilfred Stephens Mr and Mrs Maurice Flick Mr and Mrs W D Richardson and Mr and Mrs Herschel Shenk. Union Thanksgiving services planned at Baptist church November 24 at 7 30 p m with Rev William Pinkernell delivering the message and music from all churches.
