Death summons Jay Hastings Osceola senator
Osceola Senator Jay Hastings died early Tuesday at an Omaha hospital after several weeks of illness. He was survived by his wife and son Charles. Hastings fell ill last summer and suffered a bloodstream infection. he lapsed into a coma Sunday as family gathered. Funeral services are set for Thursday at 3 PM at the Methodist church with interment in Butler County.
