Former Shelby Priest Killed Near Aurora
Rev. Father Joseph Ress 65 pastor of Sacred Heart Church of Burchard died in a two car crash seven miles west of Aurora Tuesday afternoon. Five women were injured including Kathryn Graff Hamilton County home demonstration agent and three others listed as seriously hurt. Miss Heser and Father Ress were en route from Buchard to Gilter when the collision occurred at an obscured intersection. Deputy Sheriff F C Rundle ordered a careful investigation. Ress ordained in 1896 and served multiple pastorates across Nebraska.

Watch Found After Eighteen Years Lost In Field
Ford Bond found a watch buried in a farm field near Gresham about five miles northwest. It had been lost 18 years earlier by Perry Robertson during threshing on the same farm. The watch, described by witnesses, is believed to be in good condition despite years of cultivation. York News-Times
