Roger Merchant Is Released From U S Marine Corps
Mr and Mrs Roger Merchant and son Reynold of Havelock NC returned to Polk after four years active duty in the U S Marine Corps. He trained at San Diego and Camp Pendleton in 1962, served at Cherry Point NC, reached sergeant, and was a message center chief at MABS 14. The family plans to live on a farm south of Polk. Also noted are visits by Alvin Don and Ritchie Dahlin to the Robert Stevens home in Lincoln and Julia Flodman joining Walter Stohl for Sunday dinner.
