Polk County Social Roundup Reflects Weekend Visits

Mrs Ella Rudy spent the weekend with the Gillmer group, visiting son Kenneth Rudy and family and others. Sunday dinners featured Mr and Mrs Raymond Sundberg with extended kin from Lincoln York and Sutton. Several attendees marked funeral services for Wilbur Crown in Central City and a York Community concert drew local residents. Vacationing in Colorado included Mr and Mrs Martin Jones and friends from Lincoln.

Adolph Forss Birthday Celebrated in Swede Home

Country Women's Club Raises Thanksgiving Gift in Meeting

The Country Women's Club met at Mrs Paul Coover's home on Thursday afternoon October 26 with 14 members and 3 visitors. They voted to give 2.50 to the Columbus Opportunity Center as a Thanksgiving gift. Mrs Ella Peterson of Iowa was chosen shut-in for the month. A lunch was served. next meeting will be at Olga Graves's home in Central City.
