Third generation Gustafson enters service from Aurora
Steve Gustafson of Hordville, son of Mr and Mrs Roger Gustafson, becomes the third generation from Aurora to join the armed forces. His grandfather Oscar Gustafson left in 1918 for World War I and his uncle Dick Gustafson served in World War II, with Steve stationed at Camp Polk, Louisiana in May 1966.

Upcoming games: Silver Creek May 29, Shelby May 30 at 6:30 p.m. The 7-8-9 year-olds play at Shelby May 27. Recreation Fund donors totaled 843.17 with multiple contributions listed.

Janet Doud (1957) earned a home economics degree from Omaha University. Joan, a Creighton University nursing graduate, will join Omaha's City Public Health late this spring. Jean, Polk High 1966 valedictorian, won a Regent's scholarship to the University of Nebraska and plans medical study.
