Fire destroys home of Dr Peterson family near Polk
A gasoline stove explosion leveled the home of Dr. C. R. Peterson and family one mile west of Polk late Saturday afternoon. The unoccupied house burned with only the clothes they wore, $6000 in damage, garage saved, insurance partial, owners Mrs L Mlander Peterson of Stromsburg.

She is survived by her husband two daughters Hartwig Flodman of Polk and Darryl Query of Benedict and many relatives. Funeral services were held at the Swedish Mission church in Stromsburg Tuesday afternoon at 2 o clock with burial in Stromsburg Cemetery.

The community mourns the sudden death of Mrs. Eric Forslund at her Stromsburg home. Sunday evening May 17 a baccalaureate service was held at the Baptist Church for the 1936 graduates. Rev Bailey delivered no very inspiring sermon.
