Walther League Rally at North Hampton hosts May event

Nearly 300 Walther Leaguers from Zone 8 gathered in North Hampton on May 15. Donald Zersen of Gresham opened the meeting and N L Kupske of the local league was elected president with Miss Helen Reiling of Seward as secretary. After lunch and a Vesper Service led by Rev Hopman, the crowd enjoyed a four act play Attorney for the Defense at 8 15 by the hosts.

York honors composer J A Parks on 75th birthday with concert

York residents celebrate the 75th birthday of composer J A Parks with a full program of his works. The York Male Chorus and guests perform at United Brethren Church Sunday May 22 at 3 30 pm with a 15 minute radio broadcast on station KFAB starting 4 45 pm for those unable to attend in person.
