Hordville News Highlights Local Visits and Home Moves

WSCS Guests Of Hordville Baptists Celebrate Mother's Day

The WSCS of Swede Plain church hosted a Mother s Day program at Hordville Baptist with Mrs Vern Jones and Mrs Verland Widga leading. A large lunch followed for members and guests as bridal gifts were opened later. Families from DeWitt York and Kearney attended various celebrations nearby.

Many Family Gatherings On Mother's Day In Lincoln

Mother's Day in Lincoln featured extensive family visits and church gatherings. Residents hosted dinners and lunches for relatives from Omaha, Aurora, Hampton, Central City, and Santa Susana California, with multiple families sharing meals and attending Mrs John Smith's funeral. Cindy Reetz stayed with grandparents after the Lincoln visit.

The LCW of Grace Lutheran Church in Central City hosted Polk Trinity Lutheran’s LCW on Thursday afternoon. Attendees from Polk included Mrs. Martin Hoffman, Mrs. Harold Hoffman, Mrs. Mae Jones, Mrs. Dean Myers, Mrs. Arnold Neuhaus, Mrs. Virgil Tonniges, Mrs. Ray Werner, and Mrs. Charles Norquest.

Mrs Christine Jenkins and Mrs Bill Zedich er along with Kathy Christy and Marcia of Osceola attended Sunday dinner at Mr and Mrs Art Doremus. Also present were Mr and Mrs Charles Jenkins Judy Omaha Mrs Diane Tyner Kim Osceola and Mr and Mrs Bob McDonald St Edward and their guests Mrs Gary Aringdale Lynn Luray and Leslie Cheyenne Wyoming. Allen Lingwall and Jeffery Sidney Nebraska visited and planned to stay week with Arthur and Louise Doremus with Gary Aringdale family joining Friday return.
