Ten years ago the Polk PTA plans a May 11 program to honor retiring Polk Public Schools teacher Mrs. Henry Horstman after 25 years of service. Engagement announced for Ruth Jeanelle Kroger and Gaylen Holmes. Elizabeth Creech and Forrest Van Dyke wed in Lincoln on April 28. Belated 18th anniversary party for Jerold and Mrs. Ruzicka. Mrs. Anschuetz visits Polk as Mr. Alfred recovers from a heart attack. Allen Ziegelbein of the University of Nebraska to perform with Vera Zorina in Joan of Arc at the Coliseum on May 13.
Sunday afternoon guests of Mrs. Bessie Green included Everett and Walt er Green from Lincoln. Oscar Jones hosted a Mother's Day dinner for Anna Wurtz Ruth Bills and others with extended families. Mary Lou Sandell visited Elwood and Kendall Sandell. Dwight Burney called on R. H. Kreutz, ex state senator, at Harvard. Mrs Lloyd Stromberg Glen Babcock and N. E. McNaught visited Mrs C Marvin Fredrickson at Bryan Memorial in Lincoln.
