Survived by widow two children two stepchildren two step-grandchildren two sisters and two brothers. Funeral Monday at Evangelical Covenant Church Stromsburg with burial there.

Deputy Sheriff Injured in Fracas With Prisoner
Deputy Leroy Johnson broke a foot during a fight with prisoner Raymond Christensen 26 of Dannebrog after a car crash on Highway 39 west of Osceola. Christensen wandered near town, was brought in by Sheriff Peterson, and later moved to Osceola jail where an escape bid followed. Relatives took the prisoner to Omaha hospital.

Thieves returned to two towns Osceola and Shelby last week repeating break ins. In Osceola Peterson filling station, a lumber yard, and Smith Grain Co. were entered with small loot. In Shelby about one hundred dollars was taken from Farmers Elevator and the lumber yard office was ransacked.

Lightning Ends Osceola Farmer Edward Krenk’s Life
Edward Krenk of Abie Nebraska born July 11 1909 grew up on Nebraska farms and raised two sons with Evelyn Metelak. He died at 37 after being struck by lightning while riding a horse near Osceola on April 29 1941. Funeral services were held at Kepner Funeral Home and in Abie with burial in Schuyler Nebraska.
