All Polk business houses except Taverns Drug Stores and Cafes will close at 10 30 p m on Wednesday nights this summer to cooperate with the Commercial Club. They will stay open again starting the first week in June during the concert season and remain open each Wednesday evening.

Charlotte Reeb born May 1 1866 in Alsace Lorain emigrated to America with marriage to George Reed on November 22 1886 in Pedria Illinois. She died April 14 1944 at age 80 years 11 months and 13 days. Survived by husband two sons three daughters grandchildren great grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral April 7 1947 at the Lutheran church Polk with Rev C W Long officiating. Interment in Polk Lutheran Cemetery.

George William Tinker born April 4 1865 in New York state died April 21 1947 at Stromsburg hospital age 82. He was a Free Methodist pastor and longtime church member with two marriages and seven children. Survived by wife Delaura Ball Tinker two daughters Lucy McCune Ruth Green and son Beryl Tinker, 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral Friday at 2 pm at the M B Church with Rev. Booker. Interment Polk cemetery.
