Polk County ASC reports about 90 percent of farmers signed into the feed grain program since 1961 with 92 percent of feed grain base holders indicating intent in 1969. Mr and Mrs Martin Baack attend the wedding of their granddaughter Cindy Reetz in Lincoln on Saturday April 26. Various local couples host and visit relatives in Hampton Aurora Stromsburg Osceola Atkinson Herrick Cairo and North Platte with dinners lunches and afternoon coffees.
Sunday gatherings included Harold Hanquist and family honoring Myron on his birthday at the Dale Hanquist home. Delaware visitors Hannah Hahn, Doyle, Ralph Swedenburg, and others joined. John Reckner’s Campbell home hosted Donald Hanquist and kin. Horstman hosted Alvin Rizer, Orlie Miller, and P. W. Aker. Wrights of Osceola and Richard Johnson joined Mrs Minnie Wright for Sunday supper and luncheon.
