Rev and Mrs Hugo N Johnson announce their daughter Dorothy to Ronald M Foote Jr son of Ronald Foote Sr of Polk. Dorothy is a Trinity College senior Deerfield Illinois and Ronald is a 1968 Trinity graduate and director of music for Polk Public Schools. The couple plans a June 21 wedding in Warren Minnesota.
Mr and Mrs Arthur Doremus announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter Dianne Tyner to S Sgt Dennis R Bohne. The ceremony is May 10 1969 at 2 00 PM at the Methodist Church in Cheyenne Wyoming. Dianne works as an audit clerk at Holdings Little America in Cheyenne and Sgt Bohne is a Security Policeman at Francis E Warren AFB Cheyenne. In June 1969 he will begin a year tour at Nakhon Phanom RTAFB Thailand.
Mrs O F Alfred spends spring with daughters and families in New Orleans and Houston. She plans to meet grandchildren and several great grandchildren during the visit.
JoElla Stromberg and her parents Rolland and Mrs Stromberg attended Easter Seal activities in Ogallala. A chuck wagon buffet at Smith's Cafe hosted 75 diners by T J Plummer, followed by a county square dance at the Elks Club by Boot Hill Swingers. JoElla received an honorary Boot Hill Swingers membership and spoke briefly, with local and visiting guests in attendance.
The Lincoln Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes presents Bill Leach a former Hollywood artist and Lincoln High student who will draw pictures that come to life in color sight and sound. Tom Hedrick will be master of ceremonies and Ray Hildebrand a folk singer will perform. The event runs May 4 5 6 and 7 at 7 30 p m at Southeast High School Lincoln. Walden McNaught Southeast basketball coach organized the local FCA chapter.
Steven J. Flodman of Polk has been named to Phi Beta Kappa, the national liberal arts and sciences honor society. The political science and international relations major will graduate with honors in May and plans to enter the University of Nebraska College of Law. He is the son of Mr and Mrs Earl Flodman.
A meeting at Arborville Hall on Monday May 5 at 8 00 P M will plan the annual Memorial Day services. All interested persons are urged to attend.
Mr and Mrs Douglas Dapper of Huntsville Texas announce the arrival of a baby boy born April 22. The infant weighed 3 pounds 14 ounces and has been named John Maurits. Maternal grandparents are Mr and Mrs M O Johnson. The Swede Plain Crusaders met at the home of Mr and Mrs Lester Widga with co host Mr and Mrs Verland Widga on Sunday evening.
