H C Troyer of St Joseph Missouri visited Polk Thursday calling on old friends and checking town progress. He helped found Polk era cement sidewalks and built the Mc Gaffin house thirty one years ago. He sold 100 pianos in two years before moving to Lincoln and then St Joseph where he is now field secretary for The Cooperative Club International. He is in Grand Island organizing a Cooperative International with Lincoln and Omaha clubs backing.

Swedes Fall to Grand Island in Close District Showdown
On March 16 Polk Swedes lost 43 38 to the fast Schaff Snipers in Grand Island. Don Peterson and Max Peterson led Polk with 16 points each, Cowgill added 6, while Leo McDonald of the Chicago Bears had 19 for Grand Island. The Snipers then beat Wolbachs of GI in the next round, with Wolbachs finishing as district AAU runners up.

Platte Valley Young People Rally Draws Large Attendance
