Easter Seals Campaign Kicks Off This Thursday

Farm Chick Brooder Fire Kills 300 Wayward Chicks
Polk Fire Department responded to a fire at the Dean Ostberg farm early Saturday morning. The blaze started in the brooder area and 300 three week old chicks suffocated as smoke rolled out. Fire damage was limited to the floor and roof holes, with the stove suspected as the ignition point.
