Polk Band Benefits From Banquet And Upcoming Concert

A Band Benefit Banquet was held at a hotel on Monday evening March 4. The Polk Women's Club served the event with high praise for service from kitchen to tables. The band voted thanks to the club and announced a spring concert in the theatre on April 10 to support band uniforms.

Farmers Grain Co. reorganized as Farmers Cooperative Association

Under New Heads the Farmers Grain and Stock Co. interests were bought by farmers and businessmen for 8600 dollars. The new group formed Farmers Cooperative Association with 25000 dollars capital stock. Officers are President P. T. Wurtz Secy Treas Carl Steelquist Directors Albert Benson Oscar Strand M. G. Lindburg Walter Carnine and others. Mr. Carnine, former manager of the old firm, is retained.
