Faithful Workers Club Dines with Husbands in Grand Island

The Faithful Workers Club members entertained their husbands at a Grand Island dinner on Wednesday evening. Cards provided the entertainment with Florence Hoffman taking high and Mildred Nor quest low. Ernest Brockevelt was men's high and Lyle Widga won the traveling prize.

Crusaders of the Swede Plain church meet at the Dahlin home for a Bible study and lunch after. Visitors and friends gathered for February birthday celebrations and a baby shower for Mrs. Wallace Lind, with gifts and a carry-in lunch.

Sister Dies In Idaho In Idaho Ida. woman 86 dies leaves large family

Mrs. Hannah Olson, 86, died after a Friday message from Hazelton Idaho. She and her sister Mrs. Josephine Samuelson once lived near Polk fifty years ago. She leaves four sons and four daughters, all in Idaho. Her husband and one daughter preceded her.

Weekend Visits Highlight Local Family Gatherings

Mrs Bill LaVelle and others hosted gatherings as Ronald and Gary Johnson of Lincoln stayed with their parents the Wilmer Johnsons. Ted Dittmer and family joined Dennis Jasper in Stromsburg, while Arthur Samuelson and family dined with Ronald Katz in Lincoln for Kirsten's second birthday.

Arborville Community Club Meets at Blase Home

The Arborville Community Club met Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Henry Blase. Guests included Mrs. Maurice Flick Mrs. Lovette McCoy and Mrs Ray Stankel. Members spent the afternoon sewing for the hostess and enjoyed a luncheon served by Mrs. Blase.

Relatives gathered Friday afternoon at the Irvin Anderson residence to celebrate Mrs. Anderson's birthday anniversary. Lunch was provided by guests, featuring two decorated cakes by Walter Binford and Arlo Stevens. Attendees included Paul and Stevens, David Sundberg, Oscar Gustafson, Bessie Green, Walter Binford, and Glenn Hill, with many gifts and cards for the honoree.
