Spring Signs and Local Echoes From Polk Progress
The Polk Progress notes signs of spring as youngsters sign for a summer recreation program and a cardinal is spotted on Main Street. The column shares local anecdotes about neighbors, a family tree house memory, Tommie Anderson selling his cleaning business, and a school merger discussion in nearby towns. It also mentions a lively Polk pep band, Purina dealer committee work, and satirical remarks about age and social security.
