Overseas highway grows along Florida coast to Key West

Work on a 170 mile overseas highway funded by 3 600 000 from Public Works Administration advances along the Florida south coast. Trains on the Key West railroad are removed to widen bridges for a two lane road. When finished it becomes the world’s longest continuous overseas highway crossing bays lagoons and several keys.
