Cline Couple Announce Birth of Daughter Susan LaNell

Mr and Mrs Gerald Cline of Central City announce the birth of their daughter Susan LaNell on June 19 at Aurora hospital. The baby weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces. Grandparents are Mr and Mrs Vernon Cline of Aurora and Mr and Mrs Cleo Cramer of Stromsburg. Mrs M G Lindburg visited Mrs Martha Larson Friday afternoon.

New Books and Encyclopedias Arrive at Library

The library adds three new titles Take What You Want by Baldium Passenger to Frankfort by Christie and Lonesome Traveler by Kell. It also receives 20 volumes of the 1971 World Book Encyclopedia and a 15 volume Child Craft set. Encyclopedias cannot be checked out.

Many Ball Games At Polk This Weekend

Polk hosts multiple age group games this weekend with the 12 14 year boys losing to Osceola 10 0 and 5 2 to Waco, the 15 17 year team losing 20 6, and pitchers named Carlstrom Branting. Donations tallied 35 dollars as Pee Wee girls played at Waco.

Daryl Tenniges Bruce Hudson and Mark Anderson attended Wayne State College Basketball School for a week with three sessions daily. Bruce Hudson won a trophy for the most hustle and the group returned home on Saturday.
