Stromberg Family Reunion At Buckley Park

The Stromberg family reunion was held Sunday at Buckley Park in Stromsburg with about 65 attendees. Guests included Albert Stromberg and Clyde of Clarks, multiple Miller and Sealey relatives, and families from Stromsburg, Central City, Lincoln, Aurora, and Oakland California.

Lind Family Picnic Reunion at Buckley Park

The Lind family held their annual picnic and reunion at Buckley Park on June 18. 103 served lunch, including eighty five relatives and eighteen guests, with a day of fellowship despite warm weather. Rev. Clarence Lind led scripture reading and prayer after a brief business session. Since the last reunion one death, three births, and one marriage were recorded. Only out of town relatives were Mrs. Alex Lind and daughter Vida of Omaha, Faye Lind of Carthage SD, Rev. Clarence Lind and family of North Bend, and Harold Lind of Lincoln. Four Linds celebrated their 30th wedding anniversaries: Rev and Mrs. John Gabrielson, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Lind, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lind, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lind. Retiring committee members were Mrs. Walter Nyberg, Mrs. Merle Lavalle, and Mrs. Lawrence Lind. The next-year committee includes Mrs. Carl Lind, Mrs. Harvey Lind, and Arthur Gustafson.

Swede Home Dorcas Society Meets and Local News

The Swede Home Dorcas Society will meet in church parlors Friday at 2 30 with Misses Ruth Agnes Apperton and Helen Alin hosting. Members attended synodical conference in Omaha and many local families visited York and Osceola areas. Communion at Swede Home Church is Sunday at 10 45 and several families plan weekends and trips including Michigan California Amherst Valentine and Osceola park picnic details.

Shower for Mrs. Pest on Tuesday at Kroger home

A miscellaneous shower honored Mrs. John Pest on Tuesday afternoon at Miss Maxine Kroger's home with Miss Gladys McCoy as assisting hostess. Attendees made scrapbooks and offered advice to the bride. Refreshments followed and many useful gifts were presented to the honoree.

Mrs L H Headstrom and Mrs Jennie Stanton hosted a bridge luncheon for 24. Roger Anderson, 7, fractured his wrist after falling from a tree. Gavin Muirhead, once Stromsburg resident, now works as a revenue collector in New Mexico, visiting over the weekend. Rev and Mrs J L Hedblo om left for Denver to visit daughters, returning in about ten days. A prenuptial shower honored Evelyn Peterson at Iver Nordburg home with gifts and refreshments. A two day flower show at First National Bank building drew large crowds, hosted by the Garden Club. I E Olson hosted a reception for Eugene and bride-to-be Evelynne Peterson. Mrs Axel Anderson and others visited Aurora. J L Olson family held Father’s Day reunion. George L Olson attended from Omaha, others from Lincoln. Families went to Camp Strader in Crete for a Stromsburg boys camping trip.

Johnson Pardee Wedding in Sar onville That Unites Lincoln Pair
