Plans Made for OD Dozen Extension Club Meeting
The OD Dozen Extension Club met at Mrs Joe Hahn's home on May 18 with seven members. Plans were set to attend the State Jxtension Convention in Kearney on June 2 and 3. The exercise lesson led by Mrs Jat included participation by all, followed by lunch. The next gathering is scheduled for June 15 at Mrs Gary Harless's home.

Charles R. Ehn 87 died May 23 at Covenant Rest Home Stromsburg. Services May 26 at Freechurch officiated by Rev. Pinkernell and Rev. Molinder. burial Polk Cemetery. Survivors include brother Joe Polk and sisters Mrs Josephine Samuelson Polk and Mrs Hannah Olson Hazelton Ida. Born October 5, 1877 in Vestmanland Sweden, he came to the U.S. at age eight settling in Polk County and farming near Polk. He lived in California 1930s–1961 before returning.
