Official Proceedings of the Polk County School Board July 3 1967

The Polk County District No. 72 Board of Education met in regular session with all members present. They approved the 1967-68 calendar, authorized carpeting for the First Grade room, and approved a series of bills including advertising subs and various supplier payments. The meeting adjourned with Richard Sealey Sr. as secretary.

Linen Shower Honors Miss Pat Ramsey

Miss Pat Ramsey was honored at a linen shower hosted by Sherry Shoemaker and Julie Hoakes of Omaha. Beta Sigma Phi sisters and classmates attended a casual evening on July 17 with ivory and coral decor. Ramsey’s wedding to Stuart Sherman is set for July 29 at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Omaha.

1968 Wheat Program Provisions Outlined

Kahler Family Reunion Honoring Lowe Family at Polk Community Hall

The Kahler families, 48 members strong, held a picnic dinner and lunch in Polk's Community Hall on Sunday July 23 to honor Art Lowe of Woodstock Minnesota and his children visiting from Tucson Arizona. Mrs Roy Glasser Sr hosted birthday gatherings for Mrs Roy Glasser Jr and Mrs Dennis Van Housen. Doris Myers of York visited the Kings. Herbert Wurtz of Clarks visited the Aker household Wednesday evening.
