Nebraska women vote in 1920 statewide election
The 1920 Nebraska convention proposed 41 amendments all approved. Women voted on a separate bailout and helped defeat a senate membership increase by two thousand, while their vote produced a 4500 majority for the proposal. Nebraska has 85181 telephones on 114000 farms, 39534 radio sets, 7022 more chickens in incubators, 20674 farm homes with running water and 14180 baths. Wheat production is forecast at 63 million bushels for 1929. Nebraska has 720 state banks and 156 national banks with total resources of 566 million and per capita deposits of 850.
