Jungle Hunt in Motor Car Launches African Expedition

Mr and Mrs Prentiss Gray of Larchmont and Wilfred W Brown an Academy of Natural Sciences ornithologist depart New York for a seven month jungle expedition in Africa. They will drive a specially armored truck from Mombasa through Nairobi Tanganyika and into the Belgian Congo and Angola collecting night photographs and specimens for the museum habitat and touring with guides and porters under Philip Percival. Mrs Gray has wartime relief credentials and the Grays plan a return voyage to Cairo and New York.

Gas Smugglers May Force Nebraska Border Patrols

Nebraska faces a potential customs problem as gasoline smugglers cross from Kansas and Iowa after Nebraska rose its tax to four cents per gallon.
