Farm Accident Claims Life Of 11-Year-Old Roger Gondringer
An 11 year old boy, Roger Gondringer, died after falling from a loaded wheat trailer while helping with harvest seven miles southeast of Shelby. He was taken to Shelby hospital where he died shortly after arrival. Funeral services were held at the Shelby E A B church with interment in Shelby cemetery. He leaves his parents Mr and Mrs George Gondringer a six year old sister Sally and grandmother Mrs O A Watkins of Shelby.

Mrs Ostrander Injured in Highway Accident Near Shelby
Mrs. Fred Ostrander of Shelby was struck by a Chicago driver while driving cows along Highway 92. The cow was struck and forced into her, causing bruises and possible internal injuries. She was taken to St. Francis hospital in Osceola and released after admission.
