The Polk village board met July 2 at the Polk Hotel with all members present. They approved last meeting minutes and Ordinance No. 168 repealing Chapter 23 of Ordinance 38 on occupation taxes. Treasurer and Light and Water reports were read and accepted. Bills submitted include Redman Plumbing $500.19 Capitol Supply $239.24 Hurlbut Cycle $7.90 Citizens State Bank $120.25 State Tax Commissioner $66.82 State withholding $20.90 Darwin Neuhaus $58.80 Consumers Public Power $1,555.63 plus use tax.
