Bridal Shower for Mrs Vincent Stranberg Held in Nyberg Home

A bridal shower for Mrs. Vincent Stranberg took place at the Rudolph Nyberg home on Tuesday evening July 1. Forty guests enjoyed pink and white decorations, games, a gift table with a sprinkler can centerpiece, and a luncheon hosted by Mesdames Isdwin, Rudolph Nyberg, Arvid, and Alvin Stranberg. Out of town guests included Mrs Duane Nyberg and several others from Rockford, Concordia, Central City, Marquette, and Osceola.

Farmers celebrate large harvest with many fields producing well over 30 bushels per acre while elevator crowds peak. Viola Benson farm led by Reuben Anderson yielded 88 bushels on 40 acres with 60 pounds test. other sizable crops included Hilding Dahlin and Leonard Fiala with strong averages. Market price at the elevator ran 1.99. state PMA figures peg farm storage value at 2.29 and warehouse delivery at 2.17 per bushel, potentially totaling around 120000 dollars for Polk farmers by Friday noon.
