County Commissioners Proceedings Polk County June 18 1968

The Polk County Nebraska board met in regular session. Claims were audited and warrants issued across General Fund and Road Fund for salaries, supplies, maintenance, postage, and miscellaneous services. Actions included gas line and borrow pit leases, and lease extensions for road equipment. a report on Non-Resident High School Tuition expenditures was approved.

Local Society Notes From Polk County Camp and Guests

Daryl Tenniges and Lyn Ramsey attend boys camp at Covenant Cedars near Hardville this week. Mr and Mrs Stephen Gustafson hosted Sunday evening guests of Mr and Mrs John Fischler in Central City. Mrs George Jones and daughters from Dunlap Illinois visited her father Elmer Anderson last week. Friday evening guests in the Glen Babcock home included Mr and Mrs James Lindburg and Mary Sue, Dr and Mrs Raymond Peterson and Susan of Santa Ana California, and Dr and Mrs C R Peterson of Osceola. Mr and Mrs Wayne Ramsey and Lyn, and Mr and Mrs Gary Sherman with Judy and Miss Shelly Ramsey dined with Mr and Mrs Stuart Sherman in Omaha.

Pins and Pans 4-H Club Prepares for York Tour

Pins and Pans 4-H members judged hem gauges cookies and biscuits during practice at their meeting. They inspected towels and aprons and planned a tour to The Yardstick and Backberry in York. Lunch was served by Susan Cramer and her mother. Next meeting is July 10 at 2:00 at Cheryl and Tammy Fisher’s home.
