Cagers Win Two Thrillers In Polk County Play
Polk high basketball teams split two close games. Ulysses defeated Polk 85 to 32 in the first meeting as Gaylen Holmes led with 26 points and Bob Renquist contributed strong defense. In the Burg game Polk won 43 to 30 with Denny Cramer and Kes Werner scoring and Burg’s Larry Lind hot but not enough. The two Polk squads prepare for the county tournament beginning February 6.
