Polk County residents purchased 333 172 dollars in Series HE and H savings bonds during 1965 per N R Phillips state director. The year end report shows December sales of 34605 dollars, reaching 69 7 percent of the annual quota while the state hit 90 percent and the national average was 95 percent.

Mrs C Marvin Fredrickson and Mrs Walter Stohl were coffee guests Wednesday afternoon of Mrs Hartwig Flodman. Mrs Roger Hanke of Archer visited last Tuesday with her parents the Wallace Sandells, and in the afternoon Hanke and Sandell were guests at Neal Sandell’s home.
