Thelma Scott Earns Degree at Kearney

Thelma Scott of Central City is among 95 students at Kearney State College seeking master or bachelor of arts degrees at the first winter commencement in the college's 61 year history. Commencement is at 10:00 a.m. Thursday January 27 in Herbert L. Cushing Coliseum. Sunday dinner guests at Harold W. Anderson home to help Kent celebrate his 12th birthday include Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Polk Teams Triumph in Stromsburg Visit

The Polk girls beat Stromsburg 18 to 16 and the Polk boys won 12 to 8 after traveling to Stromsburg. J N Norton spoke at the Saronville M E Church last Wednesday before a large crowd.
