Joyce Sewell Faces Hidden Past at La Barranca

On the eve of her twentieth birthday Joyce Sewell resents her life under her hated stepmother Irma. Irma enlists Helm Blackadder to push Joyce toward marriage to Michael Kirkpatrick, but Joyce discovers that La Barranca, the Mexican hacienda her father owned, now belongs to her and receives a $10,000 Treasury warrant for her mother’s murder. She plans a secret trip to Mexico with banker Mr. Bradley.
