Edlund Graves Rites Held At Aurora Home

Miss Alya Edlund daughter of Mr and Mrs A Walund of Marketts was married to Lester Graves son of Mr and Mrs Bryan Graves near Polk on Wednesday December 29 at 2:00 p.m. Rev C Palmberg officiated. Attendants were Migs Lindahl and Raymond Holland. Bride wore cap crepe dress with black accessories and carried ten roses. Bridesmaid wore wine silk and carried American roses. Groom wore blue. A two course luncheon followed at the bride’s home. Mrs Graves attended Hamilton County School and Mr Graves Polk High School class of 1935. Reception at the bride’s parents’ home with about seventy five guests. The couple will reside on a farm six miles northwest of Polk.

Stromsburg Double Funeral Held for Herindine Family

Deaths of Mr Herindine and his daughter Mrs Mary Dawson occurred at their Giltner home Wednesday and Thursday last week. Mrs Dawson had been in failing health for some time. The double funeral was held in Giltner on Monday with D A R attendance. a hospital-ward from Omaha and local members joined the services. Doris Ericson returned to teaching in Minden after Christmas. The Stromsburg Baptist Church held its annual business meeting with a church supper and watch meeting. Community events included New Year’s Day gatherings and a large open house hosted by the Stromsburg Volunteer Fire Department.
