The Polk Garden Club met at Irene Widga's home on February 20 with 17 members present. New member Faye Anderson was welcomed as program leaders Carol Stevens and Sophia Klingsporn led the session.
The 4 H Electric Club met at Steve Wendell's home on February 19 and members presented circuit boards illustrating electricity travel. The next meeting is planned for March 19 at Loren Beckstrom's, with lunch served by Mrs Arnold Wendell. Loren Beckstrom, Reporter
Polk County residents host visits and birthday celebrations with extended family. A Moore Lumber Co. ad promotes RCA and Zenith radios at low prices as new stock arrives. Weekend gatherings include Mr and Mrs Martin Hoffman Sr and Mr and Mrs Olof Ostberg with Central City guests, and visits by the Nybergs and Stranbergs to Rose Nyberg.

County officials fund administrative support while partners include ASCS Extension, and FHA. Board members are Raymond Burke, Robert W. Bryan, Maurice Ewcomer, Rudolph Nyberg, and Richard Hiemer.
Karen Ann Jones and Karen Borg of Lincoln were guests of Mrs Hilmer Jones Monday night. Mr and Mrs Martin Hoffman Sr hosted Sunday dinner for several birthdays with guests including Mr and Mrs Martin Hoffman Jr their family, Mr and Mrs Darold Hoffman and family, and Mr and Mrs S S Pierson of Marquette.
