Groundwater in Nebraska Declines Slightly Amid Drought

University of Nebraska official Condra reports state groundwater fell only modestly during the driest period, with about 900 million acre feet in storage excluding deeper formations. Hastings uses five million gallons daily but could supply itself for 165000 years at current rates.
