Farm woman breaks both arms in fall on icy York pavement
Mrs. Sohn L Meyerkatz of Polk County slipped on an icy York pavement Saturday afternoon, breaking both arms. She was taken to York hospital where casts were placed and she suffered bruises. She returned home Sunday and is recovering as well as can be expected.

County Recreation School To Be Held In Polk County
Polk county organizations are invited to send one or two members to the annual county recreation school on Monday February 22 at Osceola High School beginning at 10:00 a.m. Ralph Copenhaver state Extension Service recreation specialist Lincoln will lead the program with arrangements by the farm bureau office. All schools churches lodges clubs and associations may enroll leaders. No fees are charged. This year the course runs one day instead of two.

Walther League Holds Meeting and Plans Rally

An invitation to the annual spring Rally at Thayer was received, date undecided. A National Fellowship observance was planned and a committee elected to arrange a Liver play. The meeting closed with the Lord's Prayer. The Polk Dance Club will hold its semi monthly dance on Wednesday February 24.
