County Marshals Organize For Better Enforcement
County officers have formed a self help group meeting biweekly to coordinate efforts in troubled areas. The first session Tuesday afternoon in Stromsburg included marshals from four towns, plus the county judge sheriff and a State Patrol investigator. Tom Carlstrom of Polk earned a University of Nebraska athletic scholarship after choosing NU over Kansas State. The World-Herald named him all-state second team on defense and The Grand Island Independent listed him all-state in Class D as an all-area lineman.
