Horstman Re-elected Polk School Superintendent for 1939-40

They were Sunday dinner guests of her brother Mr and Mrs Rudolph Homolka at Swanton to help her brother celebrate his birthday. Mr and Mrs Ronny Homolka and baby were also dinner guests. Afternoon guests were Mr and Mrs Alfred Brejcha and Mr and Mrs Alfred Brejcha Jr and family of Western.

Posthumous Awards To Allan Schwartz

The Army notified the parents of Pvt. Allan E. Schwartz of rural Lushton that their son received posthumous decorations for gallantry in Vietnam. He earned the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart after dying from mortar fire in October. A 1966 McCool Junction High School graduate, Schwartz was a medic.
